Friends of Scholes School
We are a group of volunteers who organise fun family events and raise money to provide additional resources, which enhance the school life of our children. As a Parent or Carer of a child attending Scholes School, you are automatically a member of FOSS, along with all the staff of the School. In addition, some past parents and grandparents remain members and provide an amazing amount of support at FOSS events.
Each year, at an Annual General Meeting in September/October, a committee is elected. With the help of interested parents and staff they set about organising events for the following year – including School Discos, Film Nights, Family Games Nights and much more!
The money raised throughout the year is used to benefit the children in school in many ways. Without the generous support of parents, family and friends, this wouldn’t be possible.
FOSS membership is continually changing as children grow up and leave the school, so we are always looking for new people to come along and help out! This could be by sharing ideas and opinions at meetings or volunteering to help at events. No matter how big or small, every bit of help is greatly appreciated, and it can be great fun!
